As Azul Seven’s practice leader, Denny Royal has grown and nurtured our human-centered and biomimetic approaches to design. Throughout his career he’s served clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, wellness, government, travel, financial services and education.
A life-long learner, Denny completed design thinking training at Stanford’s d.school and the Persuasive Technology Lab in 2012. More recently he completed a Master’s of Science degree in Biomimicry from Arizona State University. He applies a comprehensive background in research, customer experience, branding, design and technology to help clients solve challenges from a holistic perspective.
In 2012, the White House named Denny as a finalist to the inaugural Presidential Innovation Fellows program, an initiative that recruited top innovators from industry to tackle issues “at the convergence of technology, policy and process.” Denny draws on his experience applying human-centered design to such issues while speaking at events across industries.
