Lisa is the co-founder and CEO of Azul Seven. She started Azul Seven with the goal of helping technologists, designers and business people use design to solve problems and improve outcomes for those they serve. Her interest in human-centered design began with her work in theater and film, and with the emergence of digital media has extended to business and social innovation endeavors.
Lisa guides the Azul Seven team to ensure the organization evolves to meet the needs of clients and emerging industries. Her background as a strategist, her interest in innovation and her desire to help people keep her focused on technology’s impact on human behavior and how it can improve lives by enhancing human connections.
Lisa’s two decades of experience include her role as vice president of the interactive group at Larsen Design + Interactive and the director of strategy at space150. She has taught and lectured widely about interactive media, including teaching graduate-level courses at the University of St. Thomas. A former performing artist, Lisa also serves in the Minnesota community as an education and public interest advocate.
